Ouma’s Farmhouse is a rural holiday home situated on the Seven Passes Road that runs from George to Knysna and offers quality accommodation for a farm style breakaway.
The Seven Passes route is a 75km trip .It is the original road that was build by road builder and engineer, Thomas Bain, in 1867 for transporters to and from Port Elizabeth, which would include traversing 10 rivers and 7 gorges. With the beautiful mountain and green pastures from the farms, silence and beautiful stars at night, it is a lovely breakaway from the rush of the city
Here are lots of activities in the area like horse riding, mountain bike trails, the Map of Africa and golf courses. The Seven Passes route includes single lane bridges, forestry settlements, the scene of a brief gold rush in 1875 and the Woodville big tree.
The Wilderness and Sedgefield area, with lovely beaches and excellent restaurants, is only a stone throw away. Scenic Knysna is only 45 minutes drive and Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn are about one hour’s drive away and are lovely for a day trip or stay at home and make te most of the swimming dam and garden with its wonderful birdlife.
The unit is ideal for a family holiday and can accommodate up to 8 persons at a time.
This charming home comprises 4 bedrooms as well as 2 bathrooms and a guest toilet and offers plenty of accommodation for all.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third and fourth bedroom each has 2 single beds. There is a well-appointed kitchen, fitted with Fridge/Freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, etc., everything you will need for self-catering. There is also a large lounge, with comfortable furniture and a TV, a dining room, as well as a lovely enclosed entertainment room with a built-in braai to the huge charming garden. It can easily house 2 families for a memorable holiday with lots of memories.
