Elandsberg Eco Accommodation Clanwilliam

Our apartments are tucked in a quiet and safe valley on a Rooibos tea estate in the midst of the wealth of the Cederberg plant life and wild flower displays from late winter to early summer. It is the ideal setting to simply relax and enjoy. However, for the slightly more energetic, free range hiking on the estate is absolutely safe and will present ever changing vistas of mountains and rolling hills. The birdlife is quite prolific – from the Black Eagle with its wing span in excess of two metres to the Fairy Flycatcher. The natural Fynbos is only broken by fascinating rock formations.

Each of the two apartments consists of a fairly spacious lounge and dining room with a kitchenette; a bedroom and a bathroom. Both can sleep four people if they are comfortable sharing a bathroom. They are truly accessible for physically handicapped people. Each apartment has a veranda with a deck as well as a braai area which is also accessible for people in wheelchairs as are all other amenities (except the pool) as well as the garden which was specially adapted for the benefit of handicapped persons.

About 2½ hours easy drive from Cape Town on the N7 to Namibia; 22 km from Clanwilliam, 45 km from Lambert’s Bay, a short hop to the heart of the majestic Cederberg range, and around the corner from the Olifants River Wine Route. In short, in the heart of one of the most awesome and beautiful regions in South Africa.

Directions

From the N7 take the turn-off for Clanwilliam and Lambert’s Bay. At the t-junction turn towards Lambert’s Bay on the R364. Drive for 13 km. then turn right at the Skurfkop sign and follow gravel road for 3 km. Turn left at Elandsberg Eco Tourism sign. Follow farm road for ± 3 km. From Lambert’s Bay follow the R364 to Clanwilliam through Graafwater for another 13 km and turn left at the Skurfkop turnoff.
