Host penalties for cancel of reservation

Because cancellations disrupt guests' plans and impact on confidence in the Want2Stay community, penalties will be applied for host cancellations. Cancellations are not only harmful for business and our name as accommodation service provider, but we also wasted time, resources, money and banking charges.

Hosts are reminded that once they accept a booking a legal contract comes into being. Want2Stay do not have the power to cancel the booking. We will however on behalf of the Host try to persuade the Guest to accept the cancellation. If we do not succeed in our efforts we will introduce the Guest and Host to each other for them to resolve the dispute.

Cancellation fee

The following fee will be deducted, as cancellation fee:

1. Before payment was made by the Guest, we’ll deduct no fees.

2. Less than 7 days after payment was made by the Guest, we’ll charge Hosts a 6% cancellation fee calculated on the amount booking amount.

3. More than 7 days after payment was made by the Guest, we’ll charge Hosts a 10% cancellation fee calculated on the amount booking amount.

4. Less than 30 days before check-in, we’ll charge Hosts an 10% cancellation fee calculated on the amount booking amount.

Please try to avoid cancellation at all cost. Remember: we will always contact you to confirm a booking before we accept it. If you are in doubt then rather decline so that we can provide the client with alternative options.

If you cancel 3 or more reservations within a year, we may deactivate your listing.
