Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways in connection with activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site.. Users may visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

Want2Stay has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Listing, Booking Terms – Want2Stay Accommodation


Here’s how we’re helping our Hosts feel confident in welcoming Guests:


  • We don’t charge Guests any fees at all. When a booking is made guests pay immediately 10% of the total booking amount [non-refundable activation deposit] into our bussiness account. Then 40% to the personal account of the owner to make up the 50% initial deposit. The 50% balance must be paid to the owner i4 days before arrival. Want2Stay do not keep funds in trust for owners and or guests. 
  • Listing with us is free
  • We don’t require booking fee, you have two options
  • Option 1: We charge hosts a 10% booking handling fee on successful bookings .There are no other fees and no VAT payable. Also no guest fees. Guests pay the price they see. 
  • Option 2: You can opt for a 1000 ZAR / 80 USD annual fee and then everything else is free. In addition  we will provide you with a free Want2Stay email address, for example tania.green@want2stay.com 
  • It’s your place, your rules – You Choose your Prices, Policies, and Rules for Guests. We are exempted from any dispute between owners and guests as we are not a party to the booking agreement, but we will always try to assist in resolving it with our advice. 
  • We’ve got your back – Access to 24/7 support and guest misconduct reporting
  • Find your perfect match – Set requirements and criteria guests must fulfill
  • BEST of All! You can use your listing’s link to advertise across social media, because in option 2 you do not pay booking fees. And, it gives your posts credibility! Amazing!


How it works

1. Open and close your property when you want. We give you the freedom to open or close your property on our site whenever you want. With no lock-in contracts, you’re in control of your property.

2. You control your availability. Only accept guests during the summer or maybe just weekends, at want2stay.com you decide when you want visitors / guests.

3. We don’t charge guests. We don’t add anything onto the advertised price. Unlike other platforms which often charge guests, the price you set is the price we display.

4. Use Want2Stay alongside other platforms. Using Want2Stay alongside your other relationships is not a problem. With our quick and easy calendar you can manage your availability in parallel to your existing relationships, by mere adding of the ical link.

      Thank you for asking Adele – To list accommodation with want2stay.com is quick and easy. Just sign up and log into your new account. Click on “My Listings” and add text and images as per the required information text blocks. If you need any help please email admin@want2stay.com – Go for it!

          Thank you for asking.
          When a booking is made by a guest we send a notification email and sms with instructions to the holiday home owner for him / her to decline or accept a booking. The deposit and payments gets paid directly to owners once they are verified by Want2Stay.
